Wealth managed in the open.
At Choicetrade Capital, we build and run portfolios for individuals, families and institutions across Nigeria — and we show you the holdings, the fees and the performance in full.

Three kinds of client, one standard of care
Individuals and families
You can start with us from ₦5,000 in a money market fund, or hand us a full discretionary mandate. Either way we show you every holding, every fee and every movement in your portfolio, in a statement written in plain language.
Personal investingInstitutions and co-operatives
We run segregated mandates for co-operative societies, NGOs, corporate treasuries and endowments, managed against an investment policy we agree with you in writing, with valuations your board or your members can rely on.
Institutional mandatesDiaspora investors
We manage naira and dollar exposure from Lagos, and we are reachable during your working day. You complete onboarding remotely, and we send statements monthly whether you are in Houston or Hackney.
Diaspora accountsWe would rather show you the working than ask for your trust.
Most Nigerian investors know someone who was burnt by an operator promising a fixed monthly return. We do too. The damage that did was not only financial — it taught a generation that formal investing is a gamble on somebody's character.
We are built the other way round. Regulated structure first, disclosure by default, and a research file behind every position we take. If you ask why a holding is in your portfolio, you will get an answer with numbers in it.
How we are governed| Client assets | Held with an SEC-licensed custodian, separate from company funds |
| Fees | Published in full, accrued in the stated price, no entry loads |
| Reporting | Monthly statements, quarterly review, annual audited accounts |
| Audit | Elvis Onuora & Co, Chartered Accountants |
Pick the fund that matches your horizon
Unit prices can fall as well as rise. Past performance is not a guide to future returns.
Every naira you give us has a stated job.
We start each mandate with a written objective and a risk budget we agree with you, rather than assume on your behalf. Our Investment Committee then sets the allocation, we execute through SEC-licensed brokers, and we reconcile daily against custodian records.
We do not chase a benchmark we cannot explain, and we do not take a position because it is popular. Where we buy, there is a research note behind it — and you are entitled to read it.

A Lagos asset manager built for the next generation of Nigerian investors.
We incorporated Choicetrade Capital Limited in May 2025, and we have applied to the Securities and Exchange Commission for registration as a Fund and Portfolio Manager.
Why we exist
Nigerian households hold an estimated ₦50 trillion in investable wealth. Less than a tenth of it sits inside a regulated product. The rest is in cash losing value to inflation, in informal schemes with no custodian, or in property bought largely because there was nowhere else to put it.
That gap is not about appetite — Nigerians save at rates that would embarrass much richer countries. It is about access and trust. The regulated products that exist have often been priced and packaged for people who already have money and already understand markets.
We started Choicetrade Capital to close that gap from both ends: products small enough for a first-time investor to enter with ₦5,000, and governance strong enough for a co-operative committee or a pension trustee to accept.
What we believe
Disclosure beats persuasion. A client who understands the risk they are taking stays invested through a bad quarter. A client who was sold a promise does not.
Structure protects people. Segregated custody, independent audit and an Investment Committee that can overrule a portfolio manager are not paperwork. They are what stands between a client and a bad decision made under pressure.
Cost compounds too. Every fee taken out is a return the client does not get. We publish ours in full and we keep them where we can defend them.
Local knowledge is the edge. Nigerian markets are not efficiently priced. Being in Lagos, reading the filings, and knowing the people who run these businesses is worth more here than any model.
The people accountable for your money
Mrs. Ilesanmi Oluwatosin Adekunbi
An investment consultant and compliance specialist who has spent her career on the control side of Nigerian capital markets, in senior compliance roles at Alpha Morgan Capital and Greenwich Trust. She leads the firm and owns internal control and regulatory filings.
Mr. Ilesanmi Samuel Ayodeji
Over two decades across investment banking, corporate finance and audit, including EY, Wema Bank, Meristem Group and Arik Air. He chairs the Investment Committee and brings the governance discipline of a career spent inside regulated institutions.
Mrs. Oluwatomi Olateju
Her career spans asset management and alternative-investment advisory, including leadership roles at GW Advisors and Macfol Consultants. She runs day-to-day portfolio construction, fund product design and client service delivery.

Our licensing progress
Incorporated
Registered under CAMA 2020 in May 2025 as a private limited company, RC 8490400.
Capital in place
₦150 million paid up against ₦200 million issued share capital, ahead of the SEC minimum.
SEC application filed
Fund/Portfolio Manager registration under Rule 95, with sponsored individuals and governance documents submitted.
Approval and launch
Fund products, the client portal and public offers go live only once registration is granted.
Six services, from a first ₦5,000 to a full institutional mandate.
Some of our clients want to hand over the decisions entirely. Others want the research and will make the call themselves. We think both are legitimate ways to invest, and at Choicetrade Capital we are set up for each.
Discretionary portfolio management
You set the objective and the constraints; we make the day-to-day decisions inside the mandate we agree, and we account for every one of them. Suited to clients with a defined goal who would rather not watch the market weekly.
Advisory portfolios
You keep the final say. We bring the research, the allocation proposals and the execution, and nothing moves without your approval. Suited to experienced investors who want a second, evidenced opinion.
Collective investment schemes
We plan to run pooled money market, fixed income, balanced and equity funds, priced every business day and open from ₦5,000. The simplest way to hold a diversified portfolio without a large starting balance.
Private wealth management
Bespoke structures for high-net-worth families and family offices, including succession and estate planning, offshore exposure and coordination with your existing lawyers and accountants.
Institutional asset management
We run segregated mandates for co-operative societies, NGOs, endowments and corporate treasuries, managed against a written investment policy, with reporting your board or your AGM can accept without translation.
Research and market intelligence
We publish sector analysis, a monthly market note and investor education sessions. Our clients see the research before it goes anywhere else, and can request the working behind any recommendation.
Which approach suits you?
Answer the three questions and we will point you at a fund. This is a guide, not advice — a full risk profile is completed at onboarding.
Talk it through with usWhat it costs
| Service | Fee | How it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| Discretionary portfolio management | 1.5% – 2.0% per annum of assets | Monthly in arrears on average portfolio value |
| Collective investment schemes | 1.0% management fee, plus an incentive fee capped at 10% of excess return | Accrued daily and reflected in the published unit price |
| Advisory portfolios | Fixed annual retainer, or per transaction | Agreed in the engagement letter before work begins |
| Institutional mandates | Negotiated: management fee plus success-based element | Set out in the mandate agreement and reported quarterly |
There are no entry loads. Early-exit fees, where they apply, are stated on each fund page. All fees are disclosed before you sign, in line with SEC Rule 95(2) on disclosure and client consent.
Four funds, one price published every business day.
We state plainly what each fund holds, what it costs, and how quickly you can get your money back. Choose by how long you can leave the money alone, rather than by which number looks biggest.

See what a monthly contribution could build
Assumes the illustrative rate shown for each fund, contributions at month end, and no withdrawals. This is an arithmetic projection, not a forecast, and not a promise of any return.
Research notes, written for clients first.
We publish what our analysts are actually thinking about — inflation, fund charges, the Nigerian equity market — without the promotional gloss.
The monthly market note
One email a month: what moved, what we did about it, and what we are watching next. Written by the research desk, not by marketing. No promotions, and you can leave in one click.
The controls that sit between you and your money.
Regulatory status
We are incorporated under CAMA 2020 with RC 8490400, and we have applied to the Securities and Exchange Commission for registration as a Fund/Portfolio Manager under Rule 95 of the SEC Rules and Regulations (2013, as amended).
We are not yet a registered fund manager. We offer no fund product, and we accept no client money, until that registration is granted. Anything you read here about our funds describes what we intend to operate after approval.
The framework we operate under
| Investment and Securities Act 2007 | Governs our licensing and market conduct |
| SEC Rules 2013, as amended | Capital adequacy, sponsored individuals, reporting |
| Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2022 | KYC, transaction monitoring, NFIU reporting |
| Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 | How your personal data is held and used |
| CAMA 2020 | Corporate filings, board duties, shareholder rights |
Four things that do not depend on our good behaviour
Segregated custody
Your assets sit with an SEC-licensed custodian, in accounts separate from our own funds. We instruct trades; we never hold your cash.
Independent audit
Elvis Onuora & Co audit our accounts annually, and we file quarterly returns with the SEC. We check valuations against custodian records daily.
Compliance reporting line
The Compliance Officer reports to the Board, not to management, and can escalate over the head of the Managing Director.
Investment Committee
No single individual can move client money outside an agreed mandate. Limits and exposure ratios are set per client and monitored.
AML and KYC
Identity verification at onboarding, ongoing monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting to the NFIU, and annual AML training for all staff.
Business continuity
Remote operations activate within 12 hours of any disruption, with daily encrypted backups. The plan is tested annually and reviewed by the Board.
Straight answers
If something goes wrong
Send complaints to our Compliance Officer. We acknowledge within two business days and respond substantively inside ten. If we cannot resolve the matter you can escalate it to the SEC Complaints Management Framework — and we will tell you how, rather than leave you to find out.
Report a concern
Suspected fraud, misconduct or misuse of client data can be reported confidentially to the Compliance Officer, who reports directly to the Board. Reports can be made anonymously and are logged either way.
Contact complianceComing soon.
We are building our client portal to launch alongside our first funds, once SEC registration is granted. Leave your email and we will tell you the day it opens — nothing else.
